Do I earn 10% on all reservations?
We pay 10% commission for special rate hotel bookings made online. These hotels are clearly marked and appear at the top of the search results. Bookings made by phone, where available, are only eligible for 5% commission.
What is the commission on hotels that aren't 'special rate'?
Other hotels that include agency and GDS hotels where the reservation is payable by the customer to the hotel at checkout, we offer revenue share of 50% from the commission we collect from the hotel. As this varies from property to property, it will be confirmed to you on your monthly commission reports. You will only receive this commission when we collected it from the hotel.
What is the commission on non-hotel products?
Where available, for our car product we offer revenue share of 50% of the commission we collect from the supplier. This will be paid to you when we have collected the commission from the supplier. No commission is paid on the air product.
Is the commission paid on the gross booking amount?
The commission is calculated on the basis of the booking price before tax recovery charge and booking fees are added.
When will I be paid my commission?
Payments are made the month following the date of check-out (when the booking was consumed). If you choose to be paid by check, checks are mailed the 15th of each month. If you selected the Electronic Funds Transfer method of payment (EFT), the commission payment will be wired to your nominated account on the 15th of the month for bookings consumed in the previous month. We will only pay into accounts that have accrued US$50 or more in commissions.
For products that are booked through the GDS (GDS hotels, flights and cars rentals), commission will be paid on the month following collection from the GDS supplier.
Where can I view a history of payments sent to my agency?
After accessing your account click on the ‘Reports’ tab. Check history information is available for the previous 24 months. Please ensure you login as the Parent Client ID (Parent CID).
I have not received my commission payment even though the report shows commission owed, why is that?
There could be several reasons for this, and you will see alerts on the Agent Center Home page to notify you of any pending process that is affecting your commission payments.
- If the total commission owed has not reached a minimum of US $50.00 then we won't be able to send payment. Please continue to book until this limit is reached.
- If the commission is on GDS hotels, flights or car rental, we can only pay the commission after collecting it from the supplier. In some cases this may take more than one month.
- If you have not yet completed your tax information form, we are unable to process your commission payment. Please complete the appropriate form by selecting the ‘Account’ tab and follow the instructions provided on the page. Your information is electronically submitted over our secure server.
- If we require further verification of your status as a travel agent, this may delay commission payments.
