Making a reservation

After logon, click on the 'Reservation' tab and select the product you wish to book.

How do I make a reservation online?

Select the product you wish to book. Product type availability depends on the region where you are based. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the search form for your booking.

Can I make a reservation over the phone?

At present, telephone reservations are only available in North America. You may call 1-800-TAHOTEL (1-800-824-6835). You must provide your Client ID (CID) when calling. The CID is shown clearly on the left side of the page in Agent Center Home. You will be prompted to enter it before speaking to an operator. Please remember that bookings made over the phone will only receive half of the commission you can get when booking directly online at AgentRez (5% for special rate hotels instead of 10%).

What if I have a special request?

Requests for smoking/non-smoking rooms, specific bed types, room types, etc. are to be submitted at the time of booking. There is a special field on the secure reservation page designated for these requests. Room types are typically confirmed and smoking preferences are noted in the reservation, but are handled at the discretion of the hotel and based upon availability at check-in. Any other special requests can only be made through our call center. Please book the hotel online first and then call, having your itinerary number and client ID ready.

How do I pay for my reservation?

If the hotel has a 'Special Rate' flag, then the reservation must be fully prepaid using a debit or credit card and includes the base room rate plus tax and recovery fees. The actual account billing address connected to your card must be provided for security and verification purposes during the booking process. The person on the card need not be the person travelling. This means a travel agent may use a corporate credit card to pay for a reservation on behalf of their customer.

If the hotel does not have the 'Special Rate' flag, your credit card details will be taken as a guarantee and the customer will be asked to pay the hotel directly on check-out. Please note that commission on these reservations are not at our standard rates. Please see the Commissions section for more information.

How do I know my reservation is confirmed?

When you book online, you will see a confirmation page online after completing the transaction and receive an instant email that contains your confirmation number and reservation details. At time of booking, you may add your customer’s email address to the booking form to ensure they receive a copy of the confirmation email as well.

Phone bookings generate a confirmation email only when you provide the reservation agent with a valid email address. Once your card is charged the reservation agent will provide you with a confirmation number.

Are there charges for cancelling or changing a booking?

Each hotel has a cancellation policy which is shown on their information page. EAN does not apply any other charges. Cancellation penalties are typically a charge of one night if cancelling 48-24 hours before arrival. The terms may change for especially busy periods or very popular destinations.

Can I change my reservation?

You can view or cancel a booking online by accessing your account via www.agentrez.com. Select ‘view/cancel reservation’ from the drop down list under the ‘Reservation’ tab. Enter the itinerary number of the booking and email address used to view its details. When needing to change a booking, first make a new reservation and then cancel the original booking. Make sure that you abide by the hotel’s terms and conditions which are available on the hotel information page. Modifications to bookings are not available at this time.

For last minute changes that do not incur an extra charge, you may call 1-800-TAHOTEL (1-800-824-6835) in North America or 00-800-1120-1140 in Europe. Users in other regions should call one of these numbers. Our call centers operate 24 hours a day.

Can I book a group reservation on AgentRez?

When you select more than 8 rooms in the search form, you will be directed to the group booking form. There you will be asked to complete a group reservation request which will be handled by our groups department. When booking a group reservation, please note the following terms:

  • Group reservations are on request and not available with instant confirmation.
  • A deposit of 10% of the booking value is required when we confirm your request. The remainder is due in full within 30 days of arrival date. As with other offline bookings, your commission rate is 5%
  • A representative of the group sales team will aim to contact you within 1 working day (24 hours) not including weekends (Sat/Sun). Group hotel rates may vary from those shown online.
  • You can also make a group booking by calling 1-800-301-8485. Please remember to quote your ID number (CID, agent ID or Discount Code) to ensure we pay you commission for the reservation.
